TUSUR University Celebrates the EthnoFest
On November 8, students of TUSUR University participated in the EthnoFest. Unity Time, a celebration of the National Unity Day organized with the grant support of the Rosmolodyozh Agency. The event brought together students of Tomsk universities representing the many different cultures and nations brought together by our city.
Participants were invited to try their hand in various folk crafts: painting matryoshka dolls, making charm dolls, creating a German spruch and weaving bracelets with African beads. A display of national dresses allowed students to appreciate the beauty of traditional styles across cultures, from Tatars and Turkmens in Eurasia, to Cameroon and Cote-d’Ivoire in Africa.
The event was meant to promote friendship among peoples that live side by side in Russia.
